About IGCSE Physics (0625)
Cambridge IGCSE Physics (0625) explains how the physical world works, and the Extended tier is meant for students going for top grades and on towards AS and A Level Physics or engineering. The content is grouped into motion, forces and energy, thermal physics, waves, electricity and magnetism, and nuclear physics. It is a calculation heavy science, so alongside the ideas you are building the habit of choosing the right equation and using it cleanly.
Your grade comes from three papers. Paper 2 is multiple choice worth 30%, Paper 4 is the extended theory paper worth 50% and carries most of the grade, and Paper 6 is the Alternative to Practical worth 20%. Examiners lose count of the marks dropped on missing or wrong units, so writing quantities with the correct unit, converting properly and showing each step of a calculation is one of the simplest ways to lift a grade in Physics.

How to do well in Physics
Physics rewards a small number of habits done consistently. Learn the equations and the units that belong with them, and practise rearranging them until it is quick, because a lot of the paper is applying the right formula to a new situation. Every time you do a calculation, show the working and include the unit, since that is exactly where careless marks disappear.
The written paper also asks you to describe and explain, so practise the standard explanations and draw and label clear diagrams for circuits, forces and rays. Work through past papers by topic first, focusing on electricity, motion and energy, which come up again and again, then sit full papers to time and mark them against the mark scheme so you can see how the marks are shared out.

Is IGCSE Physics hard?
